Bev,

I have unfortunately placed myself between a rock and a hard place(unrelated topic), so I apologize for not acknowledging your post in a more timely fashion.

Thank you for the possibility. I've recently learned that this rash the gentleman has may actually be under his skin. I've never heard of such a thing, but it would seem that anything is possible.

You may very well be correct with regard to the water. I just thought it may be a possibility after hearing a news clip about a particular diesease becoming more prevelant from bathing or swimming in streams and rivers. I've got a funny feeling that it may be some type of allergy which was triggered by being in the wrong place at the right time.

As far as I understand it, Lyme diesease has many symptoms similiar to other afflictions so it can be easily misdiagnosed. However, one of the more prominent symptoms is a swelling of the joints after a long period of time, about 6 months I think. As he has had this condition since Sept. I would think that that particular symptom would have shown itself by now. But heck, who knows.

Thanks again for the possibility. I will certainly pass the idea along. Time to go eat crow.

Mike
