I suspect that it is lip service. Just like Jordan. They know that they are in the gunsights and that if they don't make a few platitudes, that they are likely next on the list.

That is why Afghanistan is so important, even though they don't have anything of value, no communications, pipelines, structures..etc...It will show the other states that harbor/support terrorists that we can and *will* come after them...That we have the resolve to deal with this in a way that they will understand.

I don't put much credence in Qadaffi's comments, but it is very telling that he made them.
