CB et al,

I've been struggling with the concept of a trial, should terrorists turn themselves over or be captured. Is there a legal precedent or charge for being associated with a terrorist organization?

Are we on the verge of censoring bad thoughts?

It occurred to me that we could round up those individuals prone to such activity, and exile them. Pick an island far from civilization, capable of supporting life, strip them of their weapons, and let them live out their natural lives.

This brings up the question of the women and children. Is it fair to subject their harem's to continued abuse? What if they want to go with their men? Are we in a situation where we must judge what is best for them, as their past abuse has rendered them unable to make a rational choice?

I can see it now- a small island with 3000-5000 men, forced to create a society from scratch, unable to perpetuate their poisonous belief systems, unable to propagate their genes.

Isn't such a punishment not unlike shipping off the undesirable element to australia? Though they did have access to women.

I guess this might be related to what you proposed earlier, in that this bright group of individuals think beyond the box, beyond the mere capture and destruction that takes place during those efforts.
