2 factors may well be:

1. Secular growth above that of the general economy;
2. Excess profits generated through innovation rather than exploitation.

I believe that tech is the only area that can produce above average returns without resorting to exploitation of one form or another and
without resorting to predatory business practices.

This sounds like a moral justification for tech. Interesting. Let me start by asking you why tech should be any different from other
sectors in this regard.
