knc I agree with your concerns. They jive with mine 100%. Europe, Japan and the rest of the developed world along with us need to really address this. The World Bank (IMF) has pretty much been a failure in terms of $$ spent and we need to attack this from a different direction. If the third world's people understood what we already know we will have turned the corner. At the margin they need to understand how we got to where we are today and then have the framework to pick themselves up with help from the western world. A huge problem, but one that can be surmounted if the western world really digs in. I would be willing to give up some of my toys to buttress that point. The price we will all pay is to great not to commit to to this problem. It is the biggest one humanity faces today. Do we want to give up?
