I think the way most things are going is proper. In the short term we need to allocate the necessary resources to the investigative end as we are doing. Beefing up domestic security, creating more widespread and aggressive information exchange with international security forces, getting control of and/or tracing the financial end of terrorist support, developing the international commitments that are necessary.... but, I just think it's a little premature to be expecting a military response, which could easily turn out to look clumsy, ineffective and rage-driven rather than precise, justified and effective. Not only can we not afford to look like fools, we can't afford to be indiscriminate in our response.
