What were your expectations? He's the CEO of the country, not a worker bee.

CEO's don't initiate programs and ideas? Don't synthesize divergent viewpoints into consensus? We certainly have had presidents that led more actively than by simply choosing to sign or not sign what was put in front of them.

In times of external crisis, it's appropriate to disregard political interests in deference to the broader interests of the nation.

I have no interest in pursuing this into an Idish bantering of quips and I am content to lend my support, such as it is, to the joint action of the country. At the same time, I see no reason to suspend my powers of observation about what real actions get taken in comparison to rhetoric about action nor my judgment about whether those actions are wise, advisable, effective, and justified.
