Jim, I thought a small nuclear explosion about 20 km high over the Taleban would be a good idea [say at night so that the implications would be evident]. Then, tell them that in two days, the next one will be 5 km lower and then another 5km lower a couple of days after that until they agree to surrender and become a United Nations protectorate. As you say, I don't make the decisions and it might be a bad idea for some good reasons. On your idea of surrendering terrorists, what do they look like? Maybe they would keep the terrorists and surrender some people they don't like. Mq
