I'm not sure this is the kind of war that will 1) pump up the traditional defense sector or 2) come to a clear a definitive end. There may be a period of more intensive, visible military activity, but the "war" against terrorism will go on. It will require continuing security measures, intelligence activities and military "readiness" as well as active diplomacy to head off violent conflict, intensified humanitarian and economic aid to reduce the attraction of extremist groups, and other non-militaristic efforts. If all we do it strike out with our military and then proclaim victory, we will have gained nothing but greater risk of future terrorist threats. BTW, you may be right about cell phones, though I would be more general. Communications services, including both voice and data, may become more critical. At the very least, they don't become LESS important. Bob
