This isn't about "political correctness." This is about fighting ignorance and protecting basic human rights.
If you are a hammer, you keep looking for a nail. If you are a Politically Correct storm trooper, you want to keep fighting your Politically Correct battle, no matter what else is going on, no matter that thousands of Americans have just needlessly died. No matter that the misguided Political Correctness makes it easier for the terrorists to attack us.
International terrorism is Muslim / Arab.
I know you are getting a heart attack reading this true statement, and you are putting your Politically Correct storm trooper boots on as you are reading it.
Notice, to anyone with half-a-brain, it is clear that that the statement:
International terrorism is Muslim / Arab
is not equal to
Muslim / Arabs are international terrorists
Another fact is that in the first attempt, when they tried to murder 50,000 people by exploding a car full of explosives in the parking lot under the WTC, the perpetrators were Muslim / Arabs. The perpetrators arrived fairly recently to this country. Now the pattern continued in the second attack when they partially succeeded in their goal to kill 50,000 people (they got only 5,000).
To me, the first reaction is to break the pattern. Easiest way is to stop the source of these terrorists - severely curtail immigration from Arab/Muslim world, and severely curtail issuance of visas to Arabs/Muslims. At least until we figure out something smarter. (just for the record, we have not yet figured out anything smarter).
If these terrorist acts were done by British nannies, my first reaction would be, let's stop issuing work permits to British nannies. If the source was domestic, I wouldn't think about visas, but something else.
This is how normal brain operates. In the logistics of hijackings, the question of opening the door of the flight cabin came up, and there is some consus building that the door should be made tougher, and there should be strict rules about when the door can be open. These are all logical reactions.
But when a sacred cow of Political Correctness appears on horizon, you are willing to suspend logic, and hammer your ideology, in complete disregard of the tragedy that just occurred.
How can you possibly make any progress in stopping international terrorism, which is predominantly Arab / Muslim, if you even refuse to accept the premise, in order to maintain loyalty to your ideology?

This is about none of that. This is about preventing more killings. Other things are about protecting human rights (US constitution) or fighting ignorance (light of reason).
How many Americans have been abused and/or assaulted because of the racial or religious heritage in the last week?
I don't know, I hope not too many. We have police and courts to deal with that.
You apparently wish to wallow in it. Ignorance and racial bigotry are NOT representative of the America I want to defend... if you don't share that view... I pity you.
Where do you get this stuff? Anyone who doesn't march in goose step with the Politically Correct storm troopers is a racial bigot? At least you are doing your job of a Politically Correct Storm Trooper well. The job of a Politically Correct Storm Trooper, for those who don't know is to silence opposition by accusing them of being racists and bigots.
Anyway, the fact that the picture of one of the terrorist showed him to be a dark haired, light skinned Arab, who could well be an Italian or from Balkan region of Europe. But you are way out there on a tangent, too busy marching to notice. After all, the standard procedure in the Storm Trooper manual is: When in doubt, when all the arguments fail, accuse your opponent of racism. Even though the only guy with a picture of his face is white.
