That's what makes the video so interesting to watch, even if it isn't applicable to real-life scenarios. ;-)

I heard that the Palomino's thermal diode can indeed handle failed CPU fans as long as the heatsink stays attached. The solution isn't as robust as that found on the Pentium 4 or even the Pentium III, but at least it's a start for AMD CPUs.

I don't know if T-bird can survive a CPU fan failure, however. I would bet that it can't.
