Gottfried,
I am very certain, but can offer little by way of convincing proof. Time will prove me right or wrong, but I think you'll see the change within 3-6 months on a scale quite surprising to us all.
Imagine, however, you take your large family on an outdoors vacation, in fact, you have done so for many years. The family lodge you stay at is rustic, but over the years you have carried many things there to make it comfortable, in fact, too comfortable. Electricity, appliances, satellite dish, Gameboys and computer games, a refrigerator, then a freezer, bicycles, ATVs, etc. You notice that the simple things of yore (campfires, swimming in the lake) are met with bored stares and the morale (and the morals) of the youngsters year after year degenerate until nobody but you and your sainted wife do any of the meal preparation, cleanup, etc.
One evening a bear comes by and rampages your lodge, ripping things to shreds and killing two of the children, a teenager and a baby.
How would your little community change in attitude and action?
JMVVHO, as always.
