Re: Israel should pull out of its settlements, and work from there. The crux of the Middle East conflict is East Jerusalem and it's closely related to demographics... Why do Israelis not want to grant the Palestinians FULL-SCALE sovereignty over East Jerusalem? Easy: 'cause in 25 years from now, due to the Palestinians' exponential pullulation, East Jerusalem will likely have expanded into an Arab megalopolis while Israel's West Jerusalem will have shrunk into a runt Jewish neighborhood... a Jewish ghetto! Add to that the fact that some West-Jerusalemites are actually Arab-Israelis and you get a fair idea of the Jews' wildest nightmare.... Gus.
