Fear and Loathing - if you click 'back' there are numerous articles - including one by the sister of one of the missing. This is so broad and so complex. And there are many voices calling for moderation which IMO will swell into a huge tide. Interesting to read the editorial pages of two small newspapers in our area - one from a paper which is of the far right. Again, IMO the sight of millions of Afghan refugees will be so harrowing on the TV screens. We need leaders, not tub thumpers using the rhetoric of WW1 and WW2. Interesting to think about Ames's figure of 5 % of the Iraqui population translating into 14 million American lives. The New Yorkers themselves are an amazing example in every way.
