One finds that most on SI (everywhere in fact) simply refuse to observe two of the oldest written rules for traders/investors.

1. Minimize one's losses
2. The trend is your friend. In bull markets buy the best stocks in the best sectors and in bear markets sell (short) the worst stocks in the worst sectors. When in doubt - get out.

Those that ignore those rules aren't worth listening to, yet interestingly you'll find some of them spend most of their time trying to convince others to listen to them.

"Fools and their money are easily separated" surely holds for both those "touting" their poor ideas and those listening.
