Barton Biggs was just on CNBC. BB has been one of the grumpier bears. They asked him if the market had bottomed (as if he knew) and he hedged, even though at this time most pundits are doing the patriotic thing and trying to calm the markets, encourage buying. He answered one question and said we were perhaps within 10-15% of the bottom, but I didn't hear much conviction in his voice or see much in his body language.
Naz looks weak to me, over the next few weeks I think we see it dramatically lower.
The VIX is still heading up. Market conditions have changed, imho (doh!), and the mantra this fall of Vix Formula 44 has given way, in my mind, to something more along the lines of Vix 66:
