I disagree. Movements in VIX are usually sharp, spiky, crescendo kind of moves. At tops in particular, reversals are usual abrupt (even if the underlying index, OEX doesn't move much). That's the tell, and that's where the value lies. If we're already oversold and the VIX reversal occurs, the move is unlikely to progress to a cr@sh...indeed, it's more likely to turn back up. For how long is anybody's guess...

In any event, I'm staying in the weeds, smoking weed (as AA might say..<G>)
