They say there are no stupid questions here, so away I go. When I first installed Zone Alarm about 5 months ago at the time I switched from dial up to cable, I monitored the alerts and they were running about 40 or 50 per hour. Over the next few months they kept getting less and stayed down around 15 - 20, less off hours. I thought this was first sites looking for their cookies and giving up after a while or something of that nature. This morning however I'm up to 80 an hour. Just feel like I'm under attack. I'm surprised there have not been more reported cases of viruses, worms etc during this past week.

Thanks for any explanation you can give.
