I actually agree with you...I believe that people like Bin Laden are *made* not born.

And I believe that the human animal has basic needs that are universal. If the needs of a child are not met, it stunts their growth or twists them into hateful beings. I do believe that there is a cycle that is created here because a child who does not receive the needed love from his/her parents will not grow into an adult who knows how to be a good parent.

This ain't no excuse. At some point, regardless of our upbringing, we are responsible for our actions. It is an interesting academic exercise to figure out what makes an Ossama Bin Laden. And it may even be important to do study it so that we know how to break the cycle...but, it doesn't change how we have to deal with the immediate threat that he poses.
