Hey Sgt. Pepper>... What Is YOUR cause by the way..

originally I had intended to write a post asking all people to suspend shorting activity, but I decided not to.. I did however decide not to short myself over the last few days.. So what was the effect... I found myself buying long..and then being forced to SELL when my stops got hit.. so I may as well have sold first and then bought back and made some profit. At least then I would have been profitable and would have been able to decide if donating some of that profit was a good idea...or even all of the profit.. instead I've beeen through agony of many long positions over two days and been forced into being a seller anyway.. So what exactly did I gain by my "patriotism" should I have just held the losing positions in the name of patriotism? should I have just avoided the market and not attempted to support it by being a buyer? It seems to me we've got a major buyers strike anyway. I think our patriotic duty is to keep our own individual financial houses in order, and then to contribute in whatever way we can to the economic, and emotional rebuilding that needs to take place.

Lets all respect each others differences and appreciate that it is our diversity that makes us great.
