You are seriously confusing stock price with company performance. If a company performs well it's stock will follow no matter how many people short it. Shorting Gateway's stock will not effect how many computers it can produce. Boeing and the airlines are in trouble, but it is not because the stock price dropped - it is because airline traffic will be much lower in the days going forward. The stock price dropping is a result of the problem not the cause. If you want to make a difference save your rath for the lawyers that will be starting the many lawsuits against the airlines for 'allowing' their planes to be hijacked.
