Let's bring this up to date. The majority of European nations have indicated an unwillingness to support the US in military action as a result of those little incidents in New York and Washington last Tuesday. (The British are an exception to this.)

We rescued Europe from the Nazis in WWII. Then we built them back up from the devastation of war. We protected them from the Soviet bear for 45 years. And this is our thanks?

Next time let's tell them to call the Afghanis.

Do you have any doubt that if that had happened in Paris or Rome that they would scream to the US for support and help? And that they would get it?

To hell with them. Let them solve their own problems or die.
