Jim - The post makes some legitimate points, but one of the writer's key premises is completely wrong. everybody wants to be exactly like Americans, Canadians, Europeans! I don't believe that for a minute - the terrorists are not like us and they don't want to be like us. They are completely devoid of the constraints of rational behavior - even more so than Hitler, IMO. It would be foolish to treat them as if they were civilized members of the human society. And please note that I am referring only to bin Laden and his followers and supporters.
