I'm a <open quote> "jingoistic, bloodthirsty, war-mongering religious zealot" Amazing how people come to conclusions about us when we are expressing our views. Our views may actually say something completely different about us than they conclude! Anyway I have had a few hate mails because of my messages on the Gorilla thread. I'm not sure we should be gun-toters on planes because of the danger to the plane itself, but were we armed the hijackings could have been stopped...I heard yesterday that El Al has had NO hijackings in 30 years. My goodness what success. It's sad: my neighbor has Israeli friends who come visit the U.S. occasionally and they have always considered it a haven because they were not tense and afraid while here. (They said they are ALWAYS afraid while at home because basically their country is always at war.) Now I wonder if this will seem like a "haven" anymore. It's always been so fortunate that we did not have to worry about terrorism on our doorstep as we do now. I'm teaching this one last year. I of course should have cashed in all those great stocks when they were great: if you go back and figure out what a multi million dollar portfolio of Qcom, Jdsu, Sebl, Ntap and EMC (assuming they were bought nearer their highs than their lows) is today, you can probably lop off at least one of the last zeros if not two!!!! It's a pleasant year but if we are going to be blown to bits I regret not moving and being with my family. Assuming we are not blown to bits, I'll move next summer, after my house sells. How are you doing? Any gold finds?
