Earnings are due out on July 18th, (before mkt, I believe.). Consensus on estimates appear to be about .18. I am VERY confident that they will meet or beat estimates. Did you know that Ross has one of the highest revenues per employee in the industry? About $700,000 a head - that's double the industry average. I agree it's gutsy to go against sunw. One of the brokers in our office talks to Dave, the CFO, practically every other day. When they were getting ready to go to comdex, JP Morgan was at rtec for a demonstration of a new technology that rtec had. Dave said, (about the demonstration) - "It worked like *#!&*$# clockwork. NOTHING is better than a visual demonstration." I would like to think that JP Morgan is not there for funding, rather for coverage on rtec. I would like JP Morgan to swing their bat with a buy recommendation because I know that Paine Webber definitely did not support the deal very well. No real NEW news now, just waiting for #'s, and for a buy rec (hopefully) from JP Morgan.
