Now I Might Be A Little Strange

But I would find it comforting to think that they were testing the thing.

The fact that we are going to war isn't going to scare people, the fact that our air traffic system has nothing in place in the event that someone wants to fly two 767's into the WTC fifteen minutes a part should scare people, the fact that the military does not have the ability to protect their national command and control center when someone wants to fly another 767 into it fifteen minutes later should scare people, the fact that they spends trillions of dollars on defense and they can't stop a bunch of free-lancers from taking out major facilities in the United States should scare people, but the fact that they are testing the emergency alert system at a time of national emergency -

That should not scare people.

In fact it makes me wonder how deep the terrorists are into our system.

One of the things that a terrorist would want to do is minimize the ability of the government to warn the people about a serious threat. First step there is to stop the testing so no one discovers the way in which they have rendered it inoperable.

I'm sorry but if our government thinks our people are so stupid that they might get scared by testing the emergency alert system, and our people are so complacent that they think it is fine, there really is no hope.
