Well, I guess it depends upon how eager you are to avoid having US airlines being bought out by foreigners who haven't had their business constrained to the same degree as US carriers, as a result of this national emergency.

AMR alone does $20 Billion in annual revenues, but with skinflint profits (mainly due to competition and discount tickets services like Priceline and Travelocity)

If you don't mind US corporations being forced into bankruptcy through no fault of their own, then the answer is clear... don't bail them out.
