Pomp, Well, it was only took until Thursday on the 700 Club for Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson (mostly Falwell) to intimate in the strongest terms that we liberal, ACLU supporting, prayer in school opposing types had caused God to "remove his shield of protection" from America. I was disgusted. I only heard it secondhand, but if what I heard was true, it certainly was disgusting. I hadn't heard yet that he'd apologized. Good, if he did. As for having to get our own house in order before going outside, it'll never happen. We'll always have intolerant individuals. Every culture will. And many will end up with microphones. The best we can hope to do is to build a culture where the majority understand the message for what it is, and ignore it. We can, and need to, continue to work on it on a global basis.
