Interesting reading, all these viewpoints on religion. One question...

How is it anyone can consider Jesus a good teacher or a prophet and not consider him God incarnate?

To quote CS Lewis, "A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on the level with a man who says he is a poached egg - or he would be the devil of hell. You must take your choice. Either this was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us."

Many Christians would love other religions to be true and many paths to lead to God. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on one's perspective) Christians follow a God who reserves His glory for Himself. Christ said, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." He didn't leave His followers any other alternatives.

For the record, I come at this topic from the perspective of a Messianic Jew.

P.S. I appreciate the respectfulness with which this entire topic (off topic) has been discussed...and how nobody on the thread in general has asked anyone to take it elsewhere.
