Clinton Gets Presidential Treament from Brokaw

NBC's Tom Brokaw began his evening program with the latest news on
the war.

The introductory story was followed by a live interview with
"President Clinton" via satellite hook-up from his Harlem office.

Brokaw frequently referred to Clinton as "President."

Asked by Brokaw if Clinton could have done more as President to
have hunted down Osama bin Laden, Clinton responded that "we did
what we thought we could."

Clinton blamed his failure on Osama's elusiveness. The old boy was
"a tough nut to crack" who even hid in caves, Clinton claimed.

Brokaw didn't bother to ask why journalists could regularly locate
his target, while Clinton's CIA couldn't.

Brokaw didn't bother to ask any tough questions to the man who,
more than any living person, is responsible for the current state
of America's national security.

The Brokaw interview should be archived and saved for a future
journalism class entitled: "How Liberal Media Coddle Their Own."

There were no questions about how Clinton emasculated the U.S.
military, failed to respond adequately to numerous terrorist acts
during his eight years -- beginning with the 1993 bombing of the
World Trade Center -- or about his tie down of the CIA's covert
operations.

Clinton made several interesting revelations:

He learned about the bombings in Australia from Bruce Lindsey,
his closest White House aide, who telephoned him from New York.
Clinton claimed that Lindsey actually witnessed the jets crash into
the Trade Center.

Clinton returned to the U.S. from Australia using military jets
that were provided to him. Clinton said the Bush administration
approved the unusual use of the planes for a former president.

Clinton defended the CIA. He said it foiled a plot to assassinate
the Pope, among other successes.
