This overzealousness of a few traders in an illiquid Rosha Shona afterhours market is not surprising, but it will probably quickly be erased in the days ahead. Certainly there is high elasticity of demand for LCD display, especially as retail prices have begun to penetrate the $300 region. And now production will crank up and bring great economies of scale. CRTs will quickly become antiques. But with the economy headed toward a tailspin, I expect the prevailing appetite for stocks to be somber at best. It is too bad the price elasticity of demand for shares is negative. ;-(
