Valid question. Here I go:

Iran
We supported the Shah for a very long time who was a very nice guy, so nice in fact that the ants rose up to kick his ass out for Ayatolah! Imagine how bad guy he was! Foreign policy to support the bastard, we got kicked in the ass, the Europeans are getting the oil deals. BIG F*UCK UP. They now are realizing that these Islamic dudes are not so good either and they will kick them out soon, Khatami is just the start. But we forever lost the oil there.

Iraqi's

Well, we all know Saddam is ruthless. We helped him for years to suppress his own people and lead to disastrous wars. The Iraqi people have been brought to their knees by the sanctions and his brutality. Remember, food comes before freedom (ask the Chinese).

Saudis

Well the fat kings and their clan have been running the country like their own little playland. There are no democracy avenues for people to express their dissatisfaction with them, if they do loose their heads in the local square. And we support these guys, they even let us have bases there to protect our oil.

It's getting late, I am not sure I answered the question, my legs hurt, it's getting foggy...
