President Bush said there are no beaches to storm etc, hinting that a slow moving battlefront of tanks, infantry etc will probably not be used. Not very satisfying but realistic. If we invade Afghanistan with a conventional assault force, we might feel good, but we probably won't catch any terrorists.

Since someone attacked the rebel Afghan leader on the 9th of Sept and he has died, the rebels undoubtedly have concluded that Bin Laden is working for the Taliban and that he was behind the assassination. With our help, they may catch and kill Bin Laden before we can.

There may, however, not be any quick, decisive and satisfying military attack that will put this matter behind us. Remember that Saddam put a huge, slow conventional military force in the middle of a treeless desert - ideal operating circumstances for our military. Bin Laden is more crafty.
