WWII was all about Bonds---the mechanism for funding the war was BUY U.S.Bonds,and they were actually called Victory Bonds.
I was thinking about this today.
So i am wondering,if they say buy stocks for America and stocks go down everybody loses.
But if you bought U.S.Bonds,who loses???
We have had this call for a Patriotic Rally and then see big money selling.(seems like it's always let's screw the little guy even in times of national crisis)
Greenspan said there will be no recession and that if he could he would be buying stocks and he sees the Dow at record highs in 18months---does he believe this????or is this scripted???Others are now saying the recession is a fact, the others being those who before were saying it would not happen.
Why don't they say buy U.S.Bonds,like in WWII.
They just announced they will NOT be buying back the Treasury issue coming due(sorry i don't know which one)--so that says they need the money, right? Bonds aren't my milieu:) I do have a substantial position in 2-yr treasuries i bought 15 months ago.Max
