We are tanking again in the pre-market, and I am perplexed as to why. QCOM's recovery from the recent selloff was well underway prior to the tragedy. There has been nothing but positive news about the implications of events for the company's prospects. Cellphone sales, we are told, are "soaring". The anointed experts have weighed in with their opinion that the increased levels of demand will not be a short-term phenomenon. Nokia is being rewarded nicely. Other sectors benefitting from increased business prospects (such as storage) have risen. Why are we still a dog with fleas? Has anyone heard from any of their contacts in the investment community whether there are specific concerns about QCOM? I have asked, and to date, have heard nothing other than its a part of the general market selloff. I'm not convinced.
