People can beseech God whenever they want Neo. Since you can even beseech God silently from in your own head, I know of no power on Earth that can stop it.

Think of how horrible a religious person would find a school speech or song that said over and over again "There is no God". Now try to imagine the shoe on the other foot. A small minority of people believe in no God. They actually believe in the absence of a God. Do they need to be indoctrinated in public places with a deity? And most especially, should their children be exposed to a religion, their parents absolutely reject?

Imposed secularity is NOT the opposite of religion. Secularity is imposed in public places so the government seems neither to embrace nor reject religion. The government is neutral. I see no better thing to be hoped for than a neutral government that lets every man, woman and child follow their conscience- so long as they follow it in the appropriate places, when they do not bother other people who are compelled to be present (like school).
