Unfortunately not all people are like you or are like LJ.

For sure, you and LJ do not need to be reminded. But, of course, there are others who are not as intelligent or as fortunate to be as educated and civilised as your goodselves. So those unfortunate "crazies" or what have you have to be told and reminded, again and again, if need be. As no one seems to be reminding them, I just tried to do so.

Don't forget also there are lots of "educated"/"civilized" folks who have the Dr. Jekyl-and-Mr. Hyde double-personality in them. The ravings and rantings, screeching and screaming of execrations, vituperations and casting aspersions and false/unjustified accusations and spewing of venom at every turn, of the last few days on this thread, bear ample testimony to this.

Even in peace time, I have overheard conversations, in public places, sprinkled with words like, "You know, I'm not a racist, BUT if I can get my fingers on the balls of that @!&%FAH*#$Z, I'll ..........." In times of war, moral restraints are often thrown out of the window. Some, if not a lot of folks have to be restrained, and hopefully with success.

Thank God for other leaders, at home and abroad, imploring Bush not to act rashly as some/lots of people like him to do so.
