Impco Gets Honda Multi-Fuel Engines Pact CERRITOS, Calif. -- Impco Technologies Inc. (IMCO) agreed to co-develop and supply alternate fuel systems to Honda Motor Co.'s (HMC) general purpose engines. American Honda Motor will use Impco to design and supply gaseous fuel systems for Honda engines sold specifically in the U.S., fuel storage and electronic controls maker Impco said in a press release Tuesday. Honda Engine asked Impco to study the advantages of final production assembly of the alternate fuel system onto Honda engines at Impco's Cerritos Calif., plant. Honda produces more than three million general-purpose engines each year for worldwide distribution. Shortly after the opening bell, Impco's stock climbed 11.3%, or $1.23 to $12.15 on the Nasdaq National Market. Honda's stock recently dropped 6.7%, or $4.65, to $65.10, on the New York Stock Exchange. Company Web site impco.ws
