Thats precisely the point. Their goal was to spread Christianity.....but they usually didn't make conversion to Christianity as a precondition for their aid. And they were more successful in their mission than the US foreign policy has been. Kinda hard to hate Mother Teresa....or the operations of the church in a lot of these impoverished countries.
