You should read up on how the California Missionaries are viewed by the native Americans now. There is a fair amount of resentment. I don't think that we have to try and spread our culture. I think that if we can find a way to give them hope, to raise their quality of life expectations, the rest will take care of itself. And part of this is that they need to start seeing the Bin Laden's and Saddam Hussein's of the world as their enemy. As someone who is oppressing them and is keeping them from enjoying a better and more secure life. And that is when we should airdrop a bunch of weapons into the oppressed areas and let the people overthrow the tyrants. And I think that is an important part of the equation. That the people there need to make the move. If we ice Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein and whoever else, it does not have the same affect as if their own people do it. Of course, I am not saying that we shouldn't go after these guys to neutralize the immediate threat, just looking at where we can get possible beneficial outcomes.
