"Aid" is fine.

It's a tough thing for me to write down exact rules and, besides, is what you really want. Please understand, I'm just trying to create a good natured forum where we examine external issues (and not each other) in an interesting, polite manner. Rather than a set of rules, I'd rather lay out a few general principles and we work together to see where it takes us, perhaps doing occasional course corrections along the way.

I consider the Palestinian-Israeli conflict to be an exceptionally difficult subject to discuss without a lot of heat being generated so I've suggested (several times now) that we sort turn our attention to many other important matters until we establish a protocol here that everyone is comfortable with.

While trying to foster good natured cooperation, I find your

Ref yours: "This is the place to post your thoughts, questions, and comments on American foreign policy issues." I thought aid was a foreign policy issue. Guess I was wrong.

to be an unfortunate response but indeed, my header statement is my goal, and to this end I have explained certain defensive boundary conditions to try guide and and defend this forum from descending into neverending fingerpointing and grandstanding.

So let's just keep moving on down the line and see what we can see.

Thanks Clark,
Ken/FaultLine
