We have such an large inventory of weapons already, taking out an armaments or plane building factory would not make a huge difference. That's probably why they went after the WTC. No...they went after the WTC because they are terrorists and terrorists strike at civilians as a general rule. They don't care what weapons we have or how many of them we have...they just want to strike fear into the population. A military target is generally out of their scope (granted, the Pentagon is a military target, but I suspect that was more symbolic than anything else). Brian
