Allan I think My fear, is the overconfidence at which the US Government is acting. I dont think this is a war that will be won in months, but years. I think there are huge geo-political issues that are close to insurmountable. I also believe at some point we will have a full scale land war as a result of these actions. I think these issues depict an expensive, risky, un attainible situation. SO how can people price in what has never before occcured? We have had conventional wars, but nothing like this. In the states the tourist,Travel and related industries have been devastated. Though they will eventially recover it will create a HUGE snowball of negative growth. I am not short, but am more bearish longer term then ever. I think this is the beginning of the end of US single pole Hegemony in the world. I also think the dolllar is toast. I agree about ST rally though, but would rather play dollar hedges, which are higher prob bets with less downside.
