I think women are very beautiful. But so are men. I saw the most exquisite man one day on Bart. I still remember him- he was so unusually beautiful. It must have been in 1989- because I was going in to SF to work. This man, 19-24, was sitting facing me, and he had this roman nose, looked Italian, and just had the most classically beautiful face I think I've ever seen. You've seen the Versace models? He must have been a model. If I were a photographer I would have followed him home and made him sign a contract.

But that is only one kind of beauty.

I don't think beauty is an illusion, I think it is just one quality. It is very real, but it isn't everything. It is like intelligence, or health, or any other quality- it is an asset if you have it and use it wisely.

I am not sure anything is eternal. Beauty, imo, is just what we perceive as pleasing. It is our word for pleasing combinations of shapes and shades of color. When we are no more, beauty will be no more either (imo).
