jeff shaw couldn't hold a one run lead in the ninth tonight. that's precisely what he is paid to do. close it out. i can't count the times he has given up a home run to the first batter he has faced in the ninth. only saving grace is that tonight they did not lose ground on the two teams in front of them. but as everyone knows, division titles are not won in this fashion. beginning to hope against hope.... :) mark
