TB> ridiculously over-sold...

...so desperate for cash ~ they're even selling preferreds and choice REITs like PCL - Plum Creek Timber @ 8.6% APR pre-tax, which I was happy to buy 8,000s of today to join 2x100K blocks of TIPS Bonds @ 3.875% + COLA in the long-term savings account, fwiw.

oh - I'm a friggin' mess over here, Dude ~ half the time I'm whining about my civil liberties like some old grey-haired founding father {grin} and bitchin' about Dubya, and half the time I'm pulling my old Gerber Mark II (vietnam era) combat knife across an Arkansas stone, cursing under my breath about the bastards who attacked my country!

angry/sad | angry/sad ~ I guess the worst thing is just feeling helpless... you know, WTH can I do to help? people in NewYork are suffering; hell, kids in uniforms are about to die and WTH can I do? helpless.

of course, The President would never take advantage of a National Tragedy to promote his own political agenda, everybody knows that.

When California had its energy-cum-financial crisis, The President was considerate, compassionate, and ultimately accomodating ~ helping us find a way to cover the smashing debt-loads and, smooth out the pricing volatility that was wreaking havoc on our businesses and elderly folk on fixed incomes: he did not take advantage of our plight, "extort" desperate citizens to adopt his energy program.

And when the economy turned really sour, millions of people losing their jobs, billions of dollars of net-worth getting wiped out in the equity markets ~ no way The President used an economic malaise to advance his tax-cut through Congress-

-no way; NO WAY The President would declare war to insulate himself from political judgement -- I mean, Dubya may be simply incompetent but...

...he's not a madman, right ?
