We already are swimming in those billions of $$ from the government. Doesn't matter. The demand isn't there. The rate on Fed Funds is dang close to zero, and still no one wants to use the cash.

The liquidity that the Fed is supplying will create inflation. Yes, it is necessary, because it will keep our economy from grinding to an absolute halt. But it's not going to help a recovery, it won't change the timing at all. If Fed Funds were trading closer to the target rate of 3% then things might get interesting.
