Removes the cash burn overhang for legal expenses for both companies.

First glance tells me that LEXG may have had the goods all along. Or DGEN's "proprietary" methods weren't different enough. All conjecture.

Best part of the deal is that the patents may be considered battle tested now. Other companies could find it harder to get in this space...similiar to MEDX/ABGX deal. IMHO.

Short end is that both companies can get on with business.
