Our condolences...
Sept. 11th, 2001

The events that unfolded Tuesday in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania were shocking and horrific. InfoSpace's thoughts and condolences go out to those families and friends that have lost loved ones and our thoughts of healing to those recovering both physically and psychologically. InfoSpace is an organization of caring and responsible individuals and we have all been greatly impacted by Tuesday's events. InfoSpace is an active supporter of United Way and many other agencies locally and nationally. In response to yesterday's tragic events, The InfoSpace Foundation is making a donation of $10,000 to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts.
InfoSpace is confident that we, as individuals, and as a nation, will find the strength to overcome these tragic events and emerge even stronger than before.

Personal message From Naveen Jain:

On a personal note, I have been very deeply touched by the events that took place this week. I have visited the World Trade Center countless times to meet with money managers and financial institutions. I have been to the Wall Street Journal offices in those buildings many times. And, I was at the Pentagon just 2 weeks ago. I have taken the same flights on several occasions and I know a lot of people who worked in those buildings and some people who were on those flights.

It is probably the saddest event to have happened in my lifetime. These events made me realize that life is just so fragile and we can not take anything for granted. I know our lives will never be the same again and our sense of security and freedom has been threatened. I can only wish that the world will come together and do something to stop these terrible things to ever happen again anywhere in the world.

GOD Bless the families of those who lost their loved ones and GOD bless America. Also, our hearts go out to those firefighters, police officers and other rescue personnel who have risked their lives to help others- we salute you.

Let's all join together to support those who need our help.

Naveen
