Talk about baloney. Here is the latest from the Greenspeaker. "The shock of September 11, by markedly raising the degree of uncertainty about the future, has the potential to result, for a time, in pronounced disengagement from future commitments." The phrases in italics are a requirement in Washington to hedge. The phrase in bold is needed to be unclear. In Washington, when in doubt one mumbles, spews jargon, or speaks in gibberish. The Greenspeaker has it all down pat.
